Outreach

One of Unity of Fort Lauderdale’s core values is Outreach.

We are here to make the World a better place. We are here to set a positive example and be a role model for others. We are here to see the Christ in everyone. We give freely and happily of our time, money, love and talents to benefit our community, people who need assistance, and programs in the community that benefit the oppressed, poor or homeless.

This past year we raised $2,000 to help the people of Orlando after the Pulse Nightclub tragedy.

For victims of the massive floods in Louisiana we collected clothes and gift cards.

Every quarter we partnered with Ruth’s Ministry for the homeless of Fort Lauderdale and donated shoes, socks, shorts, and toiletries. And, in 2017 we sponsored an amazing concert with Here II Here to raise money for Ruth's Ministry. We were able to give the Ministry over $1, 000 just when it was most needed. Ruth's Ministry feeds the homeless every Thursday 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteer servers are always welcome.

In late summer, we provided back packs filled with school supplies to the children at North Side Elementary. At Christmas we worked with Make-A-Miracle to bring Christmas presents to the students of North Side Elementary School, one of the most “in-need” schools in Broward County.

All of these very special events require organization and creativity. The people that work together on these projects are truly angels on earth. They will tell you that as an Outreach Volunteer, you receive blessings never imagined.

Please sign up to give your time and talent towards Outreach.
